645 km, four ghat sections, and a turning point for an old knee problem.
Our team took 26 hours 07 minutes to cover the treacherous 645 km course. Four ghat sections were crossed en route — Pasrani, Katraj, Khambatki and Nipani.
This was the first time I had worn cycling shoes for the entire duration of an event — my knee pain used to prevent it earlier. Thanks to Chris Howard of Denver, USA, whom I met during RAAM 2018, for helping me find a solution to the knee issue. Our performance was not as expected, and I look forward to another edition of Deccan Cliffhanger to improve.
